THE NURSERY

Petal Faire Nursery is a retail nursery run from our home in Pretoria - Colbyn, South Africa.  We stock a wide selection of rare, hard-to-find exotic and indigenous plants.  At least sixty percent of our plants are home grown.  We do not grow a large number of any one kind of plant.  Please read details of our mail order service under the appropriate heading.

We would love to have you visit our nursery in person and share our enthusiasm in what we have to offer. 

SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION

We have just finished renovating the cottage at the nursery and are thrilled with the outcome.  Petal Faire Cottage is built in the style of yesteryear and consists of four self catering apartments each with a separate entrance.  They provide comfortable and peaceful accommodation for visitors to Pretoria (or Johannesburg). This is a wonderful place for plant lovers to stay, whether it be for a mid week business trip, one night stopover or a longer holiday.

HARD AT WORK IN THE NURSERY

Well after an extended holiday, I had to jump in and "get things organised" in the nursery.  I have spent the last two weeks moving plants from growing areas to the nursery, printing an endless number of labels, anxiously checking my UK imports, trying to get new plants into the garden and generally being VERY busy.  However, with the lovely spring weather we have had for the past week I am sure that the plants are just bursting out of their seams (bars uit hulle nate... hoe kan mens dit nou vertaal?)  

From the response to my newsletter and the number of visitors to the nursery I am sure that all gardeners are gearing up for the new season.
